![]() The Native American people’s way of meeting together is through the Powwow. This gathering is where we join in dancing, singing, and visiting. It is a moment in time to remember the old ways and to preserve our heritage. Drum groups like Na-Ma-Wo-Chi (which stands for Native-Man-Woman-Child) bring the beat of the drum to the heart of the dancing. This is what we do. What happens when people with experience in two different styles come together in the same group? They form a family bond. Today the members of Na-Ma-Wo-Chi drum group are: Harland Richardson, Robin Richardson, Rick Twotrees, Quinton Branch, Albert Evans, Edward Branch, Lamont Hedgpeth Alvin Suter, Charlene Suter, and Tony Drake Richardson. In 2008 we sent a demonstration CD to the federal Bureau of Indian Affairs, which invited our group to perform at Arlington National Cemetery last November during a sacred pipe ceremony honoring Native American veterans. We have some of the photos from this event and more shown below. Enjoy! ![]() You can contact us at: Harland and Robin Richardson Home Phone: 1-252-586-7120Cell Phone: 1-252-544-3668 email:
